Role Summary:
The Manager of Finance plays a key operational leadership role within the Finance department,
responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial functions and supporting the accounting team. This role
focuses on ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial reporting, as well as coaching
and developing team members. The Manager of Finance is a hands-on leader who provides technical
financial guidance, ensures adherence to internal controls, and fosters a culture of accountability and
continuous improvement.

communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Reports To:
This position reports to the President.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Supervise, mentor, and support the Finance/Accounting team in daily operations
• Oversee financial reporting processes including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
• Conduct variance, trend, and performance analyses to identify key financial insights
• Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies
• Collaborate with the Management Team Finance on audit preparation and regulatory reporting
(e.g., RIBO, tax, etc.)
• Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and financial transactions
• Monitor cash flow and assist with liquidity planning
• Lead or support finance-related projects, such as system/process improvements or automation
initiatives
• Maintain financial data integrity and ensure deadlines are met consistently
• Provide training and development opportunities for finance staff to build team capability
Role Requirements:
• CPA designation (or working toward) preferred
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial roles, including supervisory
experience
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Insurance industry experience is highly preferred
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and manage performance of team
members
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Position Description:
This position is responsible for the underwriting of commercial risks, including but not limited to new
business, quotes, endorsements, renewals, and claims underwriting review. The junior underwriter’s
primary focus is on the Property & Casualty and Transportation product lines. They collaborate internally
with all operating areas and externally with our broker partners. As an Underwriter, their work will have
a big impact on the profitability and growth of the underwriting department.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Processing mid-term changes/endorsement requests
• Follow up on outstanding underwriting information and policy subjectivities
• Answering broker queries and providing guidance as required
• Assisting with the renewal preparation process
• Handling premium financing inquires and cancellations
• Ensuring all workflows, procedures, underwriting guidelines and service standards are being
adhered to
• Adhering to all company policies and all insurance regulations
• Develop long-term and meaningful relationships with our broker partners
• Maintain confidentiality of client information
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Upselling and cross-selling of products
• Tracking of service levels
• Supporting other functional units, as required
Role Requirements:
• Preferred underwriting insurance experience
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Competency using Microsoft Office products
• Collaborative team player
• Detail oriented
• Receptive to and welcomes coaching.
